Join the denominators.
\[\frac{w+4+{w}^{2}+4}{3{w}^{2}}\]
Collect like terms.
\[\frac{w+(4+4)+{w}^{2}}{3{w}^{2}}\]
Simplify  \(w+(4+4)+{w}^{2}\)  to  \(w+8+{w}^{2}\).
\[\frac{w+8+{w}^{2}}{3{w}^{2}}\]
